Antique Tiffany & Co. Makers, scarce cast repousse terminal much like the one shown on page 283 of William P. Hood Jr’s Tiffany Silver Flatware book sterling silver. 925, gold wash bowl, bon bon candy serving spoon OR wine tastevin, in a circa 1884 Art Nouveau pattern featuring a dancing robed Grecian lady, & IS monogrammed in the bowl. A friend of mine that has a vast knowledge of silver, stated that after discussion, Hood changed his mind later on after the book was published & that the pieces with the hole in the terminal were meant for hanging & are wine tasters. However, I will also leave bon bon in the description because they are shown as such in the only official documentation that I have. The spoon measures approximately 9 1/2 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide across the handle, weighs 3.290 ozt. & is marked Tiffany & Co Sterling. The spoon is in very good antique estate condition as follows. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING, WORN WASH, NO DENTS OR REPAIRS, & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE. THERE IS GLARE & REFLECTION IN SOME OF THE 11 PHOTOS. Please look for other interesting items in the days and weeks ahead!
