











Antique Tiffany & Co. Gilded Age, unusual large openwork, sterling silver. Bonbonnieres=containers for bon-bons to be passed around by the handle, cast in high relief, in a floral scroll pattern, & is NOT monogrammed. Site terminal is formed as a Lyre musical instrument, & the bowl has openwork flowers & scrolls. The only one I could find like it was donated to the Collection of the New York Historical Society by Isabel Shults, daughter of Caroline Beard Shults (barnard. Edu). There is also a large piece, on page 282, figure 423, with a bowl much like this one, in the Tiffany Silver Flatware book by William P. The server measures approximately 12 1/2 inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide across the bowl, weighs 11.865 ozt. & is marked Tiffany & Co T directorship Charles L. The server is in very good antique estate condition as follows. NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME LIGHT SCRATCHING & WEAR WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE.
