This magnificent hand-wrought sterling silver dessert/table/place spoon was made by Geoffrey Blake of Old Newbury Crafters, Newburyport, Massachusetts, and bears his maker’s mark of a unicorn’s head alongside the ONC and Sterling marks to the back of the stem. A piece in their baronial Classic English pattern, with a distinctive central rib to the handle, similar to the fashion of the early 1700s, it is hand-hammered on the handle, displaying the facets left by the planishing hammer on the highly polished surface. This beautiful spoon is new, in mint condition and bears no monogram. A wonderful piece of silver from a company still in production today, whose lineage and traditions reach back to the earliest days of American silver and beyond. Length: 7.25in (18.4cm); Weight: 59g/1.9 troy oz. ONC has fashioned silver for notable jewelers and retailers such as Tiffany, Gumps, Shreve, Shreve Crump & Low, Cartier, and of course for their own extensive line of tableware! Sslj nnnn 6148 6188.
