This is a Vintage Gorham Sterling Silver Large Solid Serving Spoon in the “Chantilly” (Lion/Anchor/G Mark) pattern. Over the years I have had spoons this size, in the 70’s they were called “Banquet Spoons” in the 80’s & 90’s they were called “Buffett Spoons” and now they are called “Gravy Serving Spoons” I have always called them “Texas Teaspoons” just because of their size. You can call them whatever you want! And please forgive my bizarre sense of humor. It is clearly marked Sterling and has the Gorham Company symbol on the back of the handle. It is in good condition with only minor surface marks from use and no monogram or engraving or removal. The pattern is crisp, clear and strong. The spoon measures 12 1/2 inches in length. If this is your pattern, or if you know someone with this pattern, wouldn’t this make a wonderful addition? Most items we sell are vintage and presumed to be used unless otherwise stated. Normal wear and tear is to be expected. This item is in the category “Antiques\Silver\Sterling Silver (.925)\Flatware & Silverware”. The seller is “bottom-fisher” and is located in this country: US.
