










This tea caddy spoon in Gorham’s Hizen is 3 1/4″ long with a bowl width of 1 1/4″ and a weight of 16 grams. The pattern is named for the Hizen region in Japan, famous for it’s porcelain production. The spoon’s handle shows a koi swimming against a naturalistic background; and this decoration loops over to the back side of the spoon too, where it decorates the spoons edges. The spoon is marked for Gorham and sterling in the bowl on the back on either side of the handle’s terminal, and with the number 410 further up the handle. The triple monogram run’s down the left side of the bowl, in attractive script, the letters EAB with flourishes.
