Presented is an antique, sterling silver berry strainer spoon or ladle made in America during the mid to late 19th century. This piece was made between the 1850s and the 1870s and the top of the handle has a decorative ball finial that has an old, original monogram of the initials JBK. The pierced, shell form bowl has a light gold wash. This is a great, Aesthetic Movement piece. The back is marked patent and sterling.
