





Presented is an antique, English sterling silver serving spoon made by Samuel & John Bridge of London in 1816. This early 19th century, Georgian piece is done in a classic form. The handle is finely hand engraved with flowers, leaves and scrolls surrounding a monogram of the letter M. The bowl is beautifully hand chased with detailed fruits and leaves. The back is marked with the crowned leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king’s head, a date letter a for the year 1816 and a maker’s mark for Samuel & John Bridge.
